    Our stylists have DevaCurl certifications ranging from One to Three, and all are Forever Curls Certified Experts. As our curly clients know, the needs of textured hair change from person to person. Picking a stylist based off of experience and ability will ensure the most favorable outcome!   • In Salon Consultations are required for all new color clients. You cannot book for color until you’ve had a consultation first. We do not offer color appointments on the same day as consultations.

    Consultations are also offered to those who have not been in for more than a year and/or have colored at home or elsewhere since their last visit to Fringe.

    In-Salon Consultations with your stylist require a $50 deposit that will be used towards your future color service(s).

  • Expect a text and email reminder from us three days before your appointment. If you have an appointment at Fringe Salon, we require you to please let us know three days ahead if you need to cancel or reschedule. If you do not call or email us 3 days ahead (no texting or dms), you may be subject to a cancellation fee.

    We have this policy in place to protect our stylists time and income, and because we are a busy salon with a waitlist. We want to make sure all our clients, new and old, have a chance to book with us as soon as possible.

    If you need to cancel within the 3 days of your appointment, here are our policy guidelines:

    1-2 days cancellations without rescheduling: client will be charged half of the appointment cost

    1-2 days cancellations with rescheduling: client will be charged half of the appointment cost to hold the rescheduled appointment. The fee will serve as a non-refundable deposit for your next appointment.

    Same day cancellation without rescheduling/ No Call No Show: full appointment cost will be charged

    Same day cancellation with rescheduling: half of appointment cost will be charged

    Day of Appointment, Late Arrivals: For all curly, scissor cut and color appointments, we need to start your appointment at the 15 min mark (as in touching your hair) otherwise we will have to reschedule your appointment. Barber Style will be the 10 min mark. No-one wants a rushed appointment, neither the client or the stylist. If you are past the 15-min mark of the appointment, you are welcome to use the one-time emergency for the appointment (if you have not used it already) and your stylist can offer you a consultation to discuss hair goals for when you reschedule. To avoid late arrivals PLEASE understand that street parking in South Philly can be difficult, especially after 5pm. Please allow yourself enough time to find parking if you are driving.

    At Fringe Salon, we offer a ONE TIME CANCELLATION due to an emergency, which is granted ONCE without a fee being applied. However, if you have more than two services for your appointment (ex: cut, highlights and toner), and you need to cancel/reschedule within 24 hours of appointment time, you will be charged half of the cost of the estimated service. This is because your stylist is losing at least a half day of scheduled work, with limited time to fill the opening.

    Life happens and we as a team are not immune from day to day hiccups and unforeseen circumstances. We will always work to help you in the best way possible as we understand not all goes as planned. If you need to cancel and/or reschedule, please give us a call as soon as you can so that we can do our best by you!

  • If you would like to add a service to your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible. As additional services will take extra time, there is no guarantee a service can be added once booked. We will however do what we can to help you! The sooner we know, the better.

    In order to omit part of an appointment, at least 72 hours’ notice is required. If cancelling services within an appointment becomes a habit, a deposit or cancellation payment may become a requirement. If omitting a service on the day of your appointment, a cancellation fee will be added onto services rendered.

    This courtesy enables the availability to schedule another client in, and in turn maintains a higher availability of services for you as well as others.

  • Some of the stylists at Fringe Salon will cut children's hair (0-12 years old) ONLY if the parents/caregiver are an existing client with us. We cut children's hair more as a favor to our existing adult clients. * you will NOT see "children's cuts" on our menu of services for this reason. *children's cuts are booked at our individual stylists' hourly rate. Depending on age and temperament, children's haircut timing can take anywhere from 15 mins up to an hour. There is no set price for a children's cut.

  • If you are not familiar with parking in South Philly, it can be challenging to find a spot. Please allow enough time if you are driving in for your appointment. If you find yourself getting in early, and it is daytime, you can grab a coffee, baked good, or get breakfast or lunch downstairs on the first floor of the building. Also, you are welcome to meander throughout the building to scope out the other fine artists, makers, goods and services at Bok.
